I am part of a strong men’s Bible study/life group which meets weekly. These men are hungry for God and want to see the Holy Spirit permeate every aspect of their lives, consuming their flesh and living completely let by the Holy Spirit. I had posted something to the group the other day regarding my heart and desire to see us go deeper in God’s presence, moving in the Spirit further, moving in His gifts and taking hold of all that the Lord has provided us as born again Christians. My comments were never meant to incite argument or accusation. I actually sensed a leading of the Holy Spirit in my heart that afternoon after a friend of mine and I discussed things of the Spirit at lunch.

Sometimes I will come in contact with those who just want to roadblock the Holy Spirit – lean on the wisdom and carnality of religion rather than the Word of God and relationship with the Lord. Not me.

I want all that God has for me and there are many who want all that God has for them.
I have been baptized with the Holy Spirit for over 23 years now, speak in tongues, have interpreted tongues, prophecy, have given words of wisdom and knowledge, have walked in discernment, seen miracles and experienced His healing. His blessings from Deuteronomy 28 are ours and we have come to share in the covenant promises God gave to Abraham (Gal 3:14).

“He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.” -Gal 3:14

Does it make me special? Absolutely not. Does it make His people special? No. Does it mean what Christ did for us was special? Absolutely it does because we ALL have access to His promises and blessings through the blood covenant in Christ – the spotless Lamb slain from the foundations of the world.

Some want what God has. Some want some of what God has. Some want none of what God has. I want ALL of what God has! It’s not about judgement toward those who reject His gifts and lean on religious tradition for their means of understanding – it’s about faith and belief in His Word. His Word is sufficient and should be the final say.

If we continually choose to limit God thru our unbelief, we will receive little to none from God and will always be striving to get something that we never seem to receive. If some don’t want to get in board then that’s fine but they shouldn’t hinder those who are hungry for His Spirit.

“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of Heaven in men’s faces. You yourselves do not enter nor will you let those enter who are trying to.” -Matt 23:14

Jesus preached many hard truths that quite a few refused to accept and they walked away. Jesus didn’t run them down and apologize for being too hard or complex. No, he turned to His disciples and asked “Are you also going to leave?” And they responded “To whom would we go Lord? You alone have the words of eternal life.” -John 6:68.

I love Jesus with all my heart and want to see His kingdom established here on Earth as it is in Heaven. That may offend some and I can’t help that. The Gospel can be offensive (Gal 1:10-11, 5:11). But I will no longer concede to those who are not interested in truly receiving. I will love on them but will not compromise the Holy Spirit for anyone. Denominations have done that for centuries. No thank you. We are in the last days and we need all that God has for us. Glory to God!!!!

—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. ²⁰ Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, ²¹ to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!
